Fun well planned curriculum

We have loved Noeo Biology this year. The books are so informative and fun to read. The Usborne science book has great videos with every page. I have loved the addition of the lab manuals this year because it helps my kids stay involved as we read. We read the questions and search for the answers as we read. This is our third year doing Noeo and the first we've had the lab manual and I have been surprised at how much of a game changer it's been for my kids. This curriculum is well thought out and so much fun to do!

Not a good fit for us

The material felt disjointed, and it just wasn't engaging for my little guy. The student workbook felt more like busy work. I sold it and went a different direction.

I like how organized the week's lessons are. The materials are good quality and I like the YouTube suggestions. I was dreading the microscope stuff, but that has turned out to be fun!

Would be better with basic video instruction

Would be great if there were a daily video that we could play that goes over the day's topics and reading assignments along with some Q and A style questions. Younger kids don't do well with note taking and it's just taking much longer than it should.

Excited about science!

My home schooler is actually excited about science. She loves looking through the microscope and reading through the materials. It was a good surprise for her to actually be drawn in. Thank you for fine materials!

Great All-In-One

We really enjoy having the flexibility to explore a topic further or skip to a topic of interest within the books. My kids are able to follow the teacher's manual and work independently, which is paramount. I appreciate the student journal pages that have fostered a habit of writing every day- a struggle in years before. There are a few typos, but overall it's a great system that includes enough hands on projects to keep it interesting, but not overwhelming for the teacher.

Biology 2

We have really enjoyed our first three weeks of Biology 2. It’s great for my eleven-year-old to be using our microscope so much! My only complaint is that I was not able to purchase the “microscope kit” (we already owned a microscope and so I did not buy the one offered with this unit). The “kit" referred to a lot these first 3 weeks and we had no idea what it included. It would be nice to include a list of items parents could buy to make a similar “kit."

Son loves this hands on science approach!

We’ve homeschooled for a couple years now, and recently tried Noeo to switch things up. My son loves the hands-on biology class, has become his favorite class every morning!! He doesn’t without me even having to ask!

The Best Science Curriculum!

We love Noeo! It is easy for me as a parent and keeps my children engaged. It is a great fit for my active boys. This is our second year using Noeo and we are so happy we found them!

Open and Go!

This is a great program. I'm a first time homeschooler and I'm trying to keep my 3rd and 6th grader in line with the public school in hopes of them returning someday. It truly is an open and go curriculum and it allows for a great deal of flexibility with additional experiments and research. It only got 4 stars, because I would LOVE to have an extra experiments add on. I wish there were more and I'm not prepared enough as a new homeschooler to know how to fit additional experiments in. It would be worth it to me to have the option to purchase extra hands on assignments.

Very easy to use.

The teacher guide is very logically arranged and easy to use. I love Usborne books ,but kids aren’t generally going to sit down and read the whole thing. Using Noeo gives just enough direction to use the books to study a particular topic. The quick links often lead my kids to follow rabbit trails and find other great resources.
