I’ve never heard of the author but I’ve been a big fan of all of the Canon Press bundles. While I haven’t read even half of it all (yet), I think I have a good grasp on Abbott’s writing. He is an excellent historian who records histories in an a comfortable way. Not many authors can make history occupy my leisure reading time. Nevertheless, Abbott has grasped my attention and I think that his works can be used for education or recreation.

Excellent books. Engaging for all ages. Our 11 and 9 year old boys are soaking them up. We put them right up there with ‘Battles for Boys.’
