It's election season—America's most lucrative sport—and there are no rules.

Look Inside the Book or Listen on Audible*

When climate scientist Dr. Helen Gardner accidentally reads an email from the International Task Force on Climate Change which proves that global warming is a lucrative scam, she's shocked and horrified.

But that's nothing compared to how she feels the next day when her boss (the head of the Task Force) tries to have her killed.

Helen goes into hiding with the help of her neighbor, a "fundy" Bible college professor named Cody, and an anti-eco-activist lumberjack-writer.

But Helen's scandal isn't the only headline floating to the surface: the Democrat presidential candidate gets career-changing news; his running mate hits rock bottom after years of infidelity; the current Republican VP's past sins won't stay hidden forever.

And Cody is about to uncover some dirt of his own.

Ecochondriacs

The book was extremely entertaining as well as relevant to todays current events. Additionally the book and the story line caused me to look at certain aspects of my life that could use some improvement, for instance the way I present an argument or debate a person with an opposing view.

I have just finished listening to the audio book on the cannon plus app as well

Thank you for a great book

Loved it!

Doug's fiction is always a pleasure to read. This was his first fiction book that I picked up, and I recently reread it when I got a copy for someone as a gift. Not only is it wonderfully written, but it's engaging, fast-paced, thoughtful, entertaining, and contains some very important commentary on loads of things that are going on all around us today.

Excellent!

This has probably been my favorite Douglas Wilson fiction book, and I’ve read all that I can get my hands on. Can’t wait for another one!

So much fun

The author’s eschatology shines through in this politically charged thriller. Still waiting for the 3D movie.

Ecochondriacs

Very humorous book about a serious subject. You’ve got to laugh at the current cultural insanity or become depressed.

Romping Fun

Wilson's Ecochondriacs is romping fun. It starts out a seeming spoof and ends up a wackily believable farce. The characters were a blast through which Wilson reproduces snippets of his manifold canon of writing. Very fun. The only complaint I have about the book is that it was too short. I read it in about two sittings and was having so much fun that I was sad to see it end. We sent copies to our adult children and they devoured it quickly as well. Pull up a chair for an afternoon or two and have a blast.

Brilliant!

This is a very entertaining novel! I'm not sure whether I preferred listening to it on the Canon app or reading the book myself...

If only it were a reality!

I could not put this book down! The story line coming together with each chapter packed with action, virtue, and romance was great! Passed it along to a friend and he likewise could not put it down!

Love the story, only issue was I felt is was too compacted and would have enjoyed it oroceeding at a bit slower pace and a longer read.

Spiritual warfare here and now

I ordered a hard copy of Ecochondriacs as soon as I read the first chapter on dougwils.com and finished it in one sitting when I received it. The plot is intriguing, the characters admirable or despicable, and the flaws are few (one technical mistake, but I don’t like Glocks so didn’t mind; one typo but I can’t remember what page). I enjoyed the further adventures of a young couple from Flags Out Front and hope that Doug will find a way to employ others.
It is appropriate for Christians to be optimistic because we serve the King of kings and he has told us how the plot wraps up. Even so, I wonder if the optimism in Ecochondriacs is warranted. It seems to me that the vast majority of people have lost touch with reality and are running as fast as they can on the wide road to hell, pushing and dragging as many as possible with them. The men and women in the Ecochondriacs are undaunted. And that is the encouragement that I take from it — never, never, never, never quit.

Excellent!

Starts with a bang and never stops. Wild and crazy plot, top notch dialogue, tumultuous action, thoughtful characters. It could actually happen. Really makes ya think. A great read.

Doug set the hook, the rest of the boom reeled it in

Very happy to have purchased this after hearing the first two chapters on the podcast.

What a delightful, fun read!

This is such a depressing time in our country. I needed to turn off the news and just enjoy a fun read. Ecochondriacs was just what I needed. The characters and story made my heart merry. Hoping there’s many more books like this!

Ecochondriacs

Typical of Wilson's other novels, Ecochondriacs points fun at while having fun with worldviews that ignore God. I have all his novels. Keep pumping them out, Doug. From an appreciative pastor engaged in the battle who needs to hide away with a book and laugh sometimes. God Bless

Sucked me in

I am known for reading 5 books at the same time and never finishing any of them. This book was super fun. It sucked me in and kept me there until I was done. Read it all in a few hours. Only reason not five stars is because it felt like it was rushed a bit and just dropped off characters abruptly. I wanted more!

Quick, Funny, Insightful

This was a quick read, but made me laugh several times and gave me plenty of food for thought. For instance, I tend to be one of the gullible Christians Wilson often pokes fun at, but I appreciate his jibes because it reminds me not to assume that most people are basically good- which I do know on a theological/Intellectual level- and to cultivate a more healthy jovial-cynicism (shrewd as snakes, innocent as doves) that Wilson’s characters always seem to possess.

Ecochondriacs

Good action story told in quotable prose and framed in real life issues told from a no holds barred, unashamedly christian perspective.
