Michael Foster is a serial entrepreneur who has been in bi-vocational ministry the better part of his adult life. God has blessed him with a beautiful wife and seven children. He is the pastor of East River Church (CREC) in Batavia just outside Cincinnati, and co-hosts the It's Good to Be a Man podcast.
Dominic Bnonn Tennant has a background in writing, design, apologetics, and theology. He lives in New Zealand with his wife and four children, works freelance as a copywriter and web designer, and likes learning to build things.

Our modern society has called for us to “smash the patriarchy,” and the church has not done much better.

This handbook on godly masculinity receives overwhelmingly positive feedback. Customers said it provides "insightful commentary" and is "timely and desperately needed." The physical book looks and feels like a gift. They couldn't print them fast enough last Christmas.
I talk to guys in their 20s all of the time who are trying figure out what it means to be a man. They're going to a bunch of secular sources for help because they don't feel the church or their fathers have adequately taught them the ways of manhood. This book adds a ton of clarity to understanding what it means to be masculine from a biblical perspective. Michael and Bnonn provide massive amounts of wisdom and insight that any man will find helpful. The book helped me to feel empowered and have a better understanding of who God created me to be. I sincerely believe every young Christian man needs to read this book.
Couldn’t put this book down! The authors build a biblical foundation for manhood and patriarchy. Then practically applies those truths. This will be a great resource men and mens groups. Pastors, get this book and use it to shape your ministering with men.
This world we are emersed in creeps it’s way into or minds so to the point that we have more than forgotten how things were, were supposed to be and should still be. We've become so intoxicated with the world it is near impossible to even have the capacity to think rightly, our minds and heart have gone numb, this book is a strong, snap out of it cup of coffee! I can’t recommend this enough, read it, meditate on what it has to say, pray about it and let the Holy Spirit teach you. Wake Up!
I am reading this book with my son (17) and intend to with my son-in-law. Excellent content, just like all of Michael’s and Bnonn’s stuff. Gain knowledge, be a productive man.
Must read for men. The black coffee, swift kick in the pants every young man needs. It’s a great and easy read that practically instructs young men towards manhood. I loved the chapter on brotherhood, and gravitas especially. Fantastic book and highly recommend. This would even be an awesome book for a small group of men to work through together.

Pastor Foster provides insightful commentary on masculinity and the blessings of fulfilling God's design on being a man, effectively combating the weak effeminacy that has gripped much of the modern church.
I read this book over a year ago and loved it so much that I gave it away within a week of finishing it. I wanted all my comrades to read it. Since then, I have given away 4 more copies and have yet to buy myself another copy.
IGTBAM is a must read for men to assist them in becoming men. It is also a must read for women to understand men. I highly recommend it for men’s groups and Christian schools that are gender specific whether Protestant or Catholic.

This book was written for no better time than this. It is truly good to be a man.
My son, a believer, pretty much stopped, reading books at the end of high school. This was the first book that he finished in five years, he told me, after I gave it to him for Christmas. It’s excellent reading and encourages young men to “man up.” We love this book and highly recommend it!

Spot on book
I believe one of the major initiatives to advance the kingdom of God - charging the gates of hell - starts with men. This book should be in every man’s library and read multiple times through the years.
This is why we have bought so many of these books and give them freely to any man that will read it.
Read it - live it - for it’s what we were created to do. Image God - reflecting His glory - taking dominion.

Enjoying the book. Quality content
This is one of may favorite books of all time– and my dad's. It is the absolute best of what Christian men (and men in general) as a deprecated silent majority in the west need to take to heart. If only I had this book when I was entering my teenage years. I have chewed on it, read, re-read and taken other men through this book since it came out. A fantastic summation of the theology and praxis of the best aspects of their podcast, I am supremely thankful for the clarity and call to action Michael & Bnonn have written, and eagerly await their forthcoming projects.
In an age of lost identity, this book is both timely and desperately needed. As men we owe it to God, and to our families, workplaces and communities to be the men that God created us to be. This book can help guide the way. Highly recommend.
