This guide is working great for my students. I like the mix of question types: vocabulary, content, inference, application. There's enough there to assess comprehension and get students to think but since each chapter has only 3-4 questions we aren't spending too much time on any given day.
New to vocational ministry. I have found this book directly applicable to not only ministry, but everyday life. From assessing my response to the latest news story or national outrage, to handling conflict within my household. It's a great guide to biblical judgement.
This science is amazing! We kids absolutely love it! And it is so easy to teach.
Our kiddos love the books and the artwork for story time, AND they are pretty excellent tools for teaching our kiddos to read!
Better quality than I expected. I enjoyed the audiobook tremendously and knew I was going to want a hard copy for myself. I look forward to when my kids are a little older to go through it with them as a read aloud.
Four of my teenage children have completed Riot and the Dance Curriculum. It gives a solid understanding of biology principles at a High School level. (I couple with it "Evolution, the Grand Experiment" as a way to prepare them for discussions in the college classroom regarding Darwinism.) The documentaries and subsequent videos on Angel Studio also provide a way for my teens to connect with the concepts being discussed in the curriculum. One of my sons in college performed well in his biology coursework and was prepared to learn at a university level from this course.
These books are so precious! I was excited about the phonics flashcards as well but am disappointed in them - It would be a great improvement if the flashcards had uppercase and lowercase on them as well as included beginner blends. Thank you so much for creating this set!
We study this book with maps near by as we see how God spread the Gospel through Pentecost, Peter, and Paul. My students marvel at how far the Apostles traveled ( mostly on foot). God’s plan required work but the Holy Spirit did the real work.
I've only used 1A so far but I love it. It helps children understand concepts thoroughly before moving on and is easy for me as the mom to teach it. I feel like my kid is getting a really solid foundation in arithmetic. Also, I appreciate that it's visually uncluttered and not busy. Other math curricula distract my child and make it so he can't focus on the math problem. Finally, the instructions are written at a low-grade reading level so that sometimes my 5-year-old can read and execute independently! It's very good.
Our son has been reading one a night for about 5 months now and we are really seeing progress. My one very valid complaint is that the font that is used in the books makes the lower case k look like a capital R, in that it makes that loop. That has been very confusing for him. And honestly, I do think a font that doesn't have that should be used. Many of the kids reading this are already struggling and throwing that loop at them is one more unnecessary obstacle to overcome.
Since the epistles are so important of us and our students to know how to live their lives as the chosen in Christ, I personally go to these four books almost daily for instruction and encouragement. I teach my students to learn to do the same. And Revelations gives us such great hope for eternity. Thank you for this catechism book.
This is the best science curriculum I have found for my 2nd grader!! Just enough information for him to retain and stay engaged!
